Arika are the developers of the Street fighter EX series so if you have ever played any of them games you might recognise some of the characters from Fighting ex layer. It also adds the Gougi system that adds a lot of depth to gameplay adding passive buffs to a character throughout the match as certain conditions are met. Over all the art direction of the game seriously sands out and like a lot of Arika games it has not lost it's charm either. The cast of fighters are dynamic and uniquely designed and the sound design sounds like it came right from the 90'sCombat in the game is very stylised executing combos feels great and super cancels feel great to pull off at times.. offline modes are about as bare bones as you get. Training mode is very robust adding a lot more than meets the eye. At the end of the day Arika are a very small developer and you can see this was a labour of Love adding more characters like Sharon, Volcano rosso, Pullum purna for free and more are coming some paid DLC like Terry Bogard from fatal fury and King of fighters(Owned by SNK) and others like Area who are being added for free some where down the lineI would recommend this game to any one who loves fighting games in general. Great fighting game. It's not the most polished experience you'll ever have. But it is so damn satisfying to play. If you like fighting games then, get this game it is worth your time!. Im about to expect more when the trailer is coming out. As always, developers are so stupid for changing things over the original from the SFEX2+. Thank you ARIKA. Fighting EX Layer has great gameplay and is an excellent example of what Capcom's recent fighters like SFV should be. But even months after launch, the game still feels incomplete. Arika still has ways to go before I can fully invest in Fighting EX Layer. They need to add in more game modes, a "No Gougi" option, extra costumes, customization options, and a few more characters to make it feel a little more complete. At least launch a Kickstarter so us fans can fund the development.Recommendation: Recommended, but not right now. Wait until Arika adds more content and features.. Watching this games development on PS4 was amazing and I am glad that this game is out on PC instantly bought it with the Terry DLC Akira has done a great job on this fighter. I definitely recommend this game for any fight game enthusiast, it feels like a better simplified version of SF V tbh and i have over 500 hours in that game and would rather devote those hours to this game now,
